Index SERG wishes to thank Corprit of Mount Gambier for the generous provision of this site |
The South East Radio Group (SERG) has club rooms in Mount Gambier, a town of 22,000 people near the South Australian border with Victoria. The club provides a focus for the pursuit of amateur radio as a hobby and with approximately 40 members within a 100km radius it is an active club. The members have an enthusiasm for construction, satellites, repeater systems, VHF, UHF, DXing, foxhunting and EPIRB location. The club has good links with local emergency organisations where our members speed and accuracy in locating emergency beacons (EPIRBS) and providing radio support has been of great help in emergencies. The annual South East Radio Group Convention in June is a highlight on the calendar and this attracts wide interest, especially as it is the occasion for the Australian Fox Hunting Competition. This year fox hunting numbers were on target but fewer people through the door. Even so, most traders did quite well thanks to a few ardent buyers.
The 2008 SERG Convention results updated 22/6/08. Latest update: 22 February 2009 - Recent Happenings (Current) with some of the activities for 2009 to date The 2008 Homebrew Competition photos and results are now on the site
