Club members and partners assemble in January to farewell popular club member Kevin VK5KJ

The South East Radio Group (SERG) has club rooms in Mount Gambier, a town of 22,000 people near the South Australian border with Victoria. The club provides a focus for the pursuit of amateur radio as a hobby and with approximately 40 members within a 100km radius it is an active club. The members have an enthusiasm for construction, satellites, repeater systems, VHF, UHF, DXing, foxhunting and EPIRB location. The club has good links with local emergency organisations where our members speed and accuracy in locating emergency beacons (EPIRBS) and providing radio support has been of great help in emergencies.

The annual South East Radio Group Convention in June is a highlight on the calendar and this attracts wide interest, especially as it is the occasion for the Australian Fox Hunting Competition.

Latest update 24th June 2005 - Australian Fox Hunting Championship results

Note: the UHF repeater in Mount Gambier (VK5ROH) has shifted to dodge the LIPDS. You will now find the repeater on your radio RX at 439.825 and TX on 434.825.

Our mail address is: PO Box 1103, Mount Gambier, South Australia 5290
