Our patron and life member, Eric Jamieson VK5LP
Highly regarded by Australian Amateurs, Eric contributed the "VHF/UHF An Expanding World" notes in AR Magazine from 1969 to 2000.
He was awarded the Ron Wilkinson Achievement Award: "For outstanding achievement in the promotion of VHF/UHF activity 1987", t

The G A Taylor Award - "For meritorious service to the Federal Body of the Wireless Institute of Australia 1995"
and three Higginbottom Awards, the last read "In recognition of 30 years of outstanding service to Amateur Radio Magazine."

He is a past president of the SA VHF Group, and an enthusiast for portable operation. He designed, built and repaired valve radios for a living for many years before moving to Meningie, where he still lives. Health prevents active participation inVHF/UHF operating but he maintains an interest in amateur radio.

A new feature - some of the photos above have a photo behind them. Sometimes a shack, sometimes something embarrassing (See VK5DK). Look for the cursor changing to a hand when it passes over the photo on this page.
